Our winter appeal: power for orphanages

As winter approaches, power cuts in Ukraine grow longer and more frequent. Our current appeal is to provide portable power stations to orphanages, so children and carers have light and power when the grid goes down.

This is a new appeal, and we’re raising support for our first power stations. Donors buy a power station directly from the supplier, it ships to our address in Lviv, and once it arrives, we deliver it to an orphanage in need within a week.

Our new website is live

Our new website brings together everything you need to support our work: separate pages for each of our programs, clear ways to give, our official registration documents, and a contact page.

You can now give by bank transfer, through your company, or through CAF America if you pay US taxes. You can also give a power station, send everyday essentials from our Amazon wish list, or donate a used iPhone or MacBook. Whichever you choose, our short form lets you tell us, so we can send you an update.

Dhana Aid is founded

Dhana Aid Organization was founded in January 2024 and registered in Lviv as a charitable foundation (EDRPOU 45347568). That same month, it was included in Ukraine’s Register of Non-Profit Institutions and Organizations as a charitable organization (code 0036).

Our founder, Jay, has lived in Ukraine since 2017. He started Dhana Aid to help where it matters most, and personally funds his own minimum salary, so donations go to the people who need them.
